How is the figure calculated?

Our equity release calculator uses two factors to establish how much equity your home can release:

  • Your property value – The higher the value, the more you could release. On the lower end of the scale, the minimum property value to be eligible for equity release is £70,000.
  • The age of the youngest applicant – If you are applying as a couple, you must both be aged 55 or over.
